We create imaginaries of the present and future through digital narratives. Occupying the liminal realm between physical and digital, we seek to combine technological advancements with sensual qualities to activate a digital sensuousness.

About

Wang & Söderström is a Swedish-born, Copenhagen-based artist duo consisting of Anny Wang and Tim Söderström. We are interested in investigating the relationship of technology, ecology, materials and senses in the current and future digital and ecological shift.

Our synthetic realities translates into sculptures, visual imagery and installations that bring craft, body, nature and technology together.

Wang & Söderström’s works have been shown internationally in museums and art centers such as Ars Electronica in Linz, La Galleria Nazionale in Rome, The Design Museum in London, Copenhagen Contemporary in Copenhagen, MMCA in Seoul, ArkDes in Stockholm and Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York. Their most recent exhibition Techno Mythologies in Copenhagen was recognised as one of the most remarkable exhibitions of the year in 2024 by the Danish Arts Foundation. In 2023 they won the Lumen Art Prize and The Biennale Award of Crafts & Design and in 2021 they received the Danish Arts Foundation’s three-year working grant.

Tim Söderström
(b.1988) graduated in 2015 from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture (MAA), Copenhagen. Anny Wang (b.1990) graduated in 2014 from HDK, Academy of Design and Crafts, University of Gothenburg (BFA), Gothenburg.
